REVIEWS 24/25
We already have the camping blues. Can i just say, thank you, thank you again for putting this on. This was our favourite year to date - everything was just outstanding & we couldn’t have had more of a fun time. The memories we are making are foing to last us forever & we just absolutely adore the site.
Matt Hemming & family (The Roughs - Field Pitch)
“Thank you for a fantastic stay on Thursday, we had such an amazing time, we completely fell in love with the place. From swimming in the reservoir to watching the kids play on the hay bales, the sunflower field, and especially the big oak tree – it all felt so magical.”.
Helen & family (Struttons Field - Grass Pitch)
“We spent 2 nights in the beautiful fully furnished bell tents. Well equipped & beautifully decorated. Our 2 boys were in heaven, no mention of wanting ipads, exploring the woods, paddleboarding/swimming in the reservoir, playing football, cricket in the fields, just 2 wild boys enjoying the space & freedom, they are already desperate to return!”.
Natalie Sheard (Tennis Wells Field - Bell Tents)
“You would struggle to find a better site than this, the location is great and the views from the hill are breathtaking. The family that run it are fantastic,a great welcome and just lovely peopleFacilities are basic but very clean and ideal for this setting wouldn’t change a thing”.

John Ross (Struttons Field) - Grass Pitch
“Fantastic couple of nights at Wild Combe Camping, The site is lovely, the reservoir only a 5 min walk away & was perfect for a swim. The team was super helpful and welcoming. Easy access to beautiful walks on the South Downs & a short walk to the lovely local pub. What more could you want?! Thank you”.
Aisling Chew (Tennis Wells Field - Grass Pitch)
“Such a stunning site! Fantastic location, beautiful countryside, we were welcomed & looked after throughout our stay whilst having privacy & space to ourselves. A little hidden secret which won’t stay like this for long!! It’s a must from us!
Simms Family (Tennis Wells Field- Grass Pitch)
“This is our 3rd year at Wild Combe, (family of 6!) We hired a bell tent for ease & brought a travel cot. The site is full of character & escapism from the busy world outside where you truly have the opportunity to disconnect. Our children escape into a world of make believe, hide & seek, bike riding, walks up to the beer garden, making friends & splashing about in the reservoir”.
Levens Family (Tennis Wells Field - Bell Tent)
This was our first trip to Wild Combe & will not be our last, beautiful countryside setting & although the water level was low (we were kept informed prior to our visit) we still had a wonderful time on the water. The stars are unbelievable, the best spot is under the oak tree! The owners were lovely, friendly, we saw them each day. We’re all looking forward to camping again’.
Sam Rance (Struttons Field - Grass Pitch)
“Wild Combe Camping is absolutely wonderful, rustic, back to basic camping. We hired the bell tent, it comes with proper beds, crockery, camping utensils, everything you need for your stay. There’s a wooden table & chairs outside for the family to dine on. Our friends booked the other bell tent, we put both tables together for a long one! I highly recommend families looking for a secret getaway where you can reground yourself with nature & beauty”.
